Las Vegas YMF volunteered once again at Las Vegas Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization that feeds, shelters, and serves hundreds of community members in the valley. LV YMF helped with the 4:30 community dinner that was open to the public and served over 500 meals. The volunteers were involved in included preparing the tray of food tray, handing out the meals, washing trays, and manning the floor to make sure that the guests have what they needed. It was once again a humbling experience to serve fellow community members and see the gratitude in their eyes as they received their meals. At the same time, it was disheartening to see children among the people which reminded us the importance of giving back to the community, even if it’s just time. Overall, LV YMF volunteers were happy to contribute part of their weekend for such a good cause and were grateful for this opportunity to help our fellow community members.
