Why do you enjoy being an ASCE member?
As a member of ASCE, I am grateful for the wealth of resources and opportunities available to both young and experienced engineers. As engineers, we work in tandem with one another to devise innovative solutions to the most challenging problems, and ASCE provides great problem-solving tools, training, and mentorship.
What is your favorite event of ASCE YMF?
One of my favorite YMF events was the Director’s Happy Hour Event I attended about 3-4 years ago during E-Week. I had the privilege of networking with high-profile professionals within the industry while forming valuable connections.
What is an engineering project you're proud of?
I had the opportunity to take full ownership of the design for a small residential subdivision by D.R. Horton called “Centennial Jensen”, located just off the N-215 and Hualapai Way. My role involved the holistic design of all project phases, from entitlements to civil improvement plans to plot plans. I also compiled exhibits for the technical drainage study, proposed utility design, and striping of the residential development.
Fun fact about Roxana:
I am a first-generation college graduate and the oldest sibling of my family.
