Catherine’s education background includes a degree in Environmental Studies and in Civil Engineering. Her career began applying her Environmental degree working for the Fish and Wildlife Service performing restoration work, biological surveys, and educational outreach. While ﬁnishing her second degree in Civil Engineering, she was the STEM education coordinator for the Walter Bracken STEAM Academy. She learned the planning, implementation, and operation of the STEM program. In the early stage of her water resources engineer career, Catherine focused on surface drainage, hydrology and hydraulics and since moving to HDR has added stormwater and water treatment to her resume. She has had the opportunity to apply her environmental background on projects including a stream restoration and a Tier I EIS, and would like to continue pursuing projects where she can utilize her entire background. In her free time she enjoys doing all things outdoors, traveling the world, and has been working hard to remodel her vintage home where she lives with her husband Julian, dog Zooey and tortoise Del Fuego.
