Kayaking Social Event

On May 13, 2017, 28 young engineers departed the base of the Hoover Dam by kayak to begin an epic (8 hour) voyage down the Colorado River. The group stopped to explore the natural hot springs at Goldstrike Canyon, Boyscout Canyon and Arizona Hot Springs. After a sandwich lunch on the river bank, the flotilla paddled down the river stopping at Emerald Cave before ending their tour at Willow Beach. The participating members enjoyed the change of pace activity, some of whom have never been inside a canoe/kayak that wasn’t made out of concrete.
